Harman students complete FAFSA before deadline

Education

The College Foundation of West Virginia announced that more than thirty percent of West Virginia high school students have filed a FAFSA for the 2018-19 academic year.

Along with several others, Harman Elementary/High School seniors have made sure to fill out their information in plenty of time for the April deadline.  School officials partnered with Davis & Elkins College Upward Bound Program to aid students in the filling process.

“The Upward Bound Program helped a lot because they had a special day for us to come over with instructors from the D&E College and their self that helped us look at our tax information and make sure we were putting everything in correct.  With it being a free application is great too because being a senior you realize not everything is free and you have to apply for everything,” said Zachary Roy, senior.

Although the graduating class at Harman School is less than 10, all the students were happy to have the help completing the paperwork before taking the next steps after graduation.
