MHS French teacher invited to Congress Session by Congressman McKinley

A French teacher from Morgantown High School will be traveling with Congressman McKinley to Washington D.C. on Wednesday.

McKinley chose Joshua Mason as his guest for a joint session of congress where French President, Emmanuel Macron will be speaking.

“Personally, it’s an amazing thing to be able to do this, but I think professionally, as well as a teacher to be able to have this experience and share it with my students when I come back. We’ve talked about famous people in French history and things like this and to be able to do this present day and to come back the next day and talk about how I had this opportunity to do this. It’s a great teaching tool,” said Mason.

Mason has been a French teacher for the past seven years and said this is the opportunity of a lifetime for him.
