Morgantown High School ‘Green Initiative Club’ celebrates Earth Day

Education

Monday, members of the Green Initiative Club at Morgantown High School encouraged fellow students to ‘Go Green’ in celebration of Earth Day.

The club is focused on recycling within the school. Members of the club have been raising funds to buy recycling bins for the school.

They sold trees, flowers, baked goods and beverages during the event.

“And it’s really nice to see. The whole school comes out and sometimes teachers will let their classes out and it’s just great to see everyone enjoy the weather,” said Rebecca Brazaitis, historian of the Green Initiative Club.

The event was a huge success for the students, and they sold out of all plants and trees.
