Randolph County residents are being asked to participate in an online survey for a potential after-school program.
Officials at the Phil Gainer Community Center are hoping to gather information about what parents and middle school-aged students are looking for in an after-school activity.
Manager Chris Lee said many organizations offer after-school programming for younger children, but middle school students can sometimes be overlooked.
“I’m of the opinion that there’s a gap in programming for that middle school age group and I think that an after-school program here at the Phil Gainer Community Center would fill that gap and this survey is intended to see if the public agrees with us,” said Lee.
The survey will gathering information on how programming should be supervised, what activities should be offered and how many days a week students are likely to attend.
