Students de-stress with pets

Exam season is here for students at Fairmont State University.

In order to help manage stress and test-taking anxiety, furry creatures were sent in to help.

Pet Helpers is a local animal rescue group that fosters all of it’s pets in homes.

They stop by area schools periodically to bring joy to local students.

“It gives everyone a chance to sit down with the four little paws, whether it be kittens or puppies, and just relax and take away the stress from what they’re experiencing and it’s very well received,” said Kathy Vincent, Pet Helpers volunteer.

Pet Helpers will stop by Pierpont Community and Technical College and WVU College of Law later this month.
