Tucker County has welcomed a new superintendent of schools.
Alicia Lambert worked at Davis-Thomas Elementary Middle School as principal for the last four years and took her seat as superintendent at the beginning of the week. Superintendent Lambert said the innovation and forward thinking she possessed during her time as principal will help her serve the students of Tucker County.
“We have been very blessed at Davis-Thomas the last few years with innovation and trying things a little bit outside of the box, and it was easy to manage that in a small school, and what I would like to do is take that and duplicate it into the other schools in the county,” said Lambert.
Lambert said she hopes to continue working toward creating a STEM county and inspiring students to learn outside the box.
