The Upshur County Board of Education named a new superintendent during their meeting Monday night.
Dr. Sara Stankus, who is currently a principal at Union Elementary School, will serve as the superintendent when Roy Wager, the current superintendent, retires at the end of the school year, according to board officials.
Stankus will begin her role as superintendent on July 1, officials said.
