Elkins-Randolph County Tourism officials announced Thursday that they have launched a new website.

Website visitors will now be able to access every restaurant, accommodation, shop, festival, and outdoor adventure opportunity, officials said.

“Randolph County has so much to offer from outdoor recreation to a wide variety of cuisine options to exciting art and music events. There was a need for guests to be able to access all this information in one convenient, easy-to-use spot,” says Taira Landavere, Director of Marketing for Elkins-Randolph County Tourism.

Elkins-Randolph County Tourism officials conducted a regional tourism assessment to find out what helps overnight visitors plan their trip. The study showed that 59% of people reported that an official destination website is a very important resource when choosing a destination for a trip.

The site was designed and developed by LMC & Associates, an Elkins marketing agency.

“We created this site with potential visitors in mind. We wanted them to see what beauty and authenticity this area has to offer and make their planning process effortless,” says Lori Chenoweth, Owner of LMC & Associates.

Local businesses and organizations will be able to submit tourism-related events for the site’s events calendar.

It will also feature a blog with entries written by Randolph County residents about what they enjoy most about their home.
