An award-winning artist has made a generous donation to the art program at Glenville State College.
The donation from Arlinka Worl supplied the college art program with books, software, and audio recording studio and art tablets.
Faculty at the college said the donation helps support their mission to bring both traditional and digital art together for students.
“What they learn is to oil paint and watercolor, to draw and paint and design, and they bring those skills over to the digital side with Wacom digital tablets and other modern software,” said GSC art professor Christopher Cosner.
Cosner said the program works with students across disciplines to help prepare for a variety of careers where design skills are becoming more important.
