Gov. Justice orders WV flags to be at half-staff in honor of local soldier

West Virginia Governor Jim Justice has ordered all West Virginia state flags in certain areas to be lowered to half-staff on Wednesday in commemoration of the burial service for U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Timothy Bolyard.

Governor Justice has ordered all West Virginia flags being displayed at the Capitol Complex in Charleston and state facilities in Taylor County to be lowered to half-staff on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.

Bolyard, a native of Grafton was tragically killed in the line of duty on September 3, 2018 in Afghanistan. 

Bolyard’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday at noon in Taylor County.
