The Harrison County 911 Center has a new leader in emergency management, with experience under her belt.
Laura Pysz was the City of Bridgeport’s Director of Emergency Management, and she recently took on a new role covering all of Harrison County. Pysz will go from covering 11 square miles in Bridgeport to covering a county with more than 400 square miles.
“Reaching out to all fire and police departments, and working with them, and understanding their needs and how their staffing is, and if there is anything they need, how I can help, and learning the different parts of the county, which ones are flood prone,” said Laura Pysz, with the Office of Emergency Management.
Pysz will soon move her office to the new 911 center in the Charles Pointe area of Bridgeport.
