Application process for absentee voting underway in Bridgeport

Harrison

Applications for absentee balloting for the February 16th special election in Bridgeport is now available to eligible residents.

Bridgeport voters will go to the ballot box that day to vote for, or against a levy, that will fund maintenance for city parks, streets, the library and public safety.

City Clerk Donna Krivosky says those who are incapacitated or out of town are eligible to vote absentee.

The application process must be completed by February 11th.

“So you need to come in here to the office or contact me to get a form, a form has to be filled out,” Krivosky said. “Once I receive the form, then you will receive the ballot.”

Those who have applied to vote absentee in the prior elections do not need to re-apply, they should be receiving their ballots in the mail shortly.

The levy, if authorized, will fund much of the city’s operations for four years, beginning on July 1st.
