Paving and road concerns are one everyone’s mind in the mountain state. Bridgeport City Council discussed a contract Monday night for milling and resurfacing of asphalt streets.
Council approved that contract to J.F. Allen Company for $433,587. The city does an evaluation of all city roads and streets and places them on a 10 to 15 year rotation as part of its long term plan.
“Most of the time we can plan ahead 10 years in advance what we’re going to pave. So this is part of a normal street pavement program that the city does every year,” said Kim Haws, City Manager for Bridgeport.
Also, council approved an earth works project at the Bridgeport Recreation Complex for $3,500,000 to Green River Group LLC. Excavating dirt at the complex will take place in the next 30 days.
