The Bridgeport Farmer’s Market opened last Sunday at Charles Pointe and is now open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until mid October.
This is the tenth year this farmer’s market has been held in Bridgeport, and vendors said it continues to grow in popularity each year.
Members of its board of directors said this is a free event open to the public and offers a wide variety of local vendors selling products that are all made and grown within the state.
“We have a list of about 60 vendors and any given Sunday there will be between 30 and 40 here um selling all sorts of products from farm produce to protein to crafts and arts, so it’s a real diverse mix,” said Kent Spellman.
These vendors have already seen success, reaching nearly $20,000 in sales last Sunday.
