Clarksburg City Council supports ‘Paint the Town Blue’ initative

Clarksburg City Hall is decked out with blue lights inside council cambers in honor of ‘Paint the Town Blue’ honoring men and women police officers. 

Clarksburg City Council said in their meeting Thursday night the initiative to ‘Paint the Town Blue’ is happening all over the country. Council said Clarksburg is committed in supporting its local, county and state officers. Each council member wore an article of blue clothing showing support.

“It is very important to be able to honor the men and women that provide service protecting our lives day in and day out,” said Cathy Goings, Mayor of Clarksburg. 

Also, council members received the proposed budget for fiscal year 2018 through 2019. A work sessions to discuss the budget will be held Tuesday, February 20th, at 4 p.m. in council chambers.
