Jack-O-Lanterns glowed in the lawn of the Waldomore Mansion Monday night in downtown Clarksburg.

The Jack-O-Lantern Spooktacular was the first of its kind, put on by the Clarksburg Community Action Group.

37 contestants entered their best carved pumpkin into the contest. Community members voted on the best craving in age based categories.

“Well, we wanted to be downtown, however big of an event, we wanted to, and really this mansion, the Waldomore,  its just beautiful, its a perfect set up. You got the lights, you got the lawn, it’s just a perfect place to have it.” said Jerry Riffle, a member of Clarksburg Community Action.

Each winner went home with a prize at the end of the night.
