Clarksburg Community Action’s ‘First Friday’ event brings entertainment to downtown Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG, W.Va.- Clarksburg Community Action and the city joined forces hosting their First Friday event in downtown Clarksburg at Jackson Square. First Fridays will be taking place from May through August each month.

Clarksburg Community Action stated that their mission is to build a safer and clean area that the residents can be proud of. Coming up is a city-wide neighborhood watch program and action program. The group said that while having a safer and cleaner community also includes having a little fun on a Friday night as well.

“The one take-away I would like to see from this is that people can feel like that they can come downtown on a Friday night that is family friendly, and there is activities for them, there is live music for them, there is food for them. You know, parents can sit back and relax, and they don’t have to worry about you know, what’s happening in the community or what is even happening in their daily lives,” said Wayne Worth, Board Member of Clarksburg Community Action.

Clarksburg Community Action said if anyone has any idea of things they would like to see you can reach out to them on social media and make a suggestion.
