The Clarksburg Development Authority took a field trip Friday to look at one of its first projects.
The organization held its official meeting at the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center.
The group took a tour to see the renovations being done there.
City Manager Martin Howe said the development authority helps the city with economic development and is thrilled with the progress.
“They have played a critical role as they have been a conduit for the new market tax credits and the historical tax credits. So this provides them an opportunity to actually see what work they’ve done and what that actually means to the community to see the project moving forward,” said Howe.
Howe said the $15 million renovation is scheduled to be finished in June with the new addition opening in August.
