CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – School may be out for the summer in Harrison County, but kids are still reading thanks to some local programs.
The Clarksburg Harrison Public Library is offering summer programs for children from one to twelve years old every day of the week. These programs include book clubs, a STEM club and art activities. The library will also have yoga classes to keep children active through the summer months.
“It’s good for the child to get educated even when school is out. It increases their vocabulary, their comprehension, and it also gets them to interact with other children coming into the library daily,” said children’s librarian Erica Perry.
