Clarksburg health clinic receives donation to help expand services

Harrison

A health clinic in Clarksburg is expanding its facilities to offer dental care for patients.

Health Access Clinic on Washington Ave. received a $50,000 donation from Dan Cava Toyota World this morning.

The donation begins the clinic’s capital campaign which is looking to raise $150,000. The expansion would add dental services for patients that are uninsured or under-insured.

“Any statistics or studies you read, just really talk about the need for dental care in your overall well-being,” Health Access boardmember Melanie Chancey said. “Not just for your teeth and your mouth, but it affects so many other things. So we’re just really pleased to make that available to them.”

Representatives with the clinic say they hope to have the dental facility finished by the end of the summer.
