CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – The Clarksburg Harrison Public Library is one of 26 sites this year providing free meals to local children during the summer.
This is part of the summer child nutritional program by Harrison County Schools. Children up to age 18 are able to stop by any participating location at a designated time and receive breakfast, lunch or a snack.
“With the Clarksburg Harrison Public Library being a community organization, we want to be there for all patrons of all ages and with the summer nutritional program, it provides nutritious meals and snacks to children who otherwise may not receive it when school is not in session,” said administrative coordinator Edward Pride.
The library will participate in this program from June 5th until August 16th. Lunch will be available at 11:30 Monday – Friday.
