BRIDGEPORT, W.Va.- The Clarksburg Mission hosted its annual Night of Hope Gala in anticipation to “Raise The Roof” at the Bridgeport Conference Center.
Clarkburg Mission is hoping to raise $50,000 to replace the roof at their facility. They said the roof has been leaking and causing them trouble. In 2018, the Clarksburg Mission provided shelter for over 700 men, women, and children in the community.
“The past year we’ve trained a whole bunch of our staff as recovery coaches. Recovery coaches are really able to help people work their way out of active addiction and their struggles into a better lifestyle. We’ve been able to continue to house 36,000 nights of lodging, provide on campus 46,000 meals and more,” said Lou Ortenzio, Executive Director of the Clarksburg Mission.
In the past few years the Clarksburg Mission has been able to open a men’s and women’s sober living homes providing for folks with substance abuse disorder recovery.
