Clarksburg spring cleaning program offers residents opportunity to get rid of unwanted belongings

Now that spring is here, the city of Clarksburg is urging residents to take advantage of its spring cleaning program.

Residents can place items that don’t normally fit in the trash bin on the curb for the city to pick up at no cost.

Items like stoves, washers, dryers and dried-out paint cans will all be picked up. Small items must be boxed, bagged or tied.

“It’s a very beneficial service that the city does provide to all of the citizens of Clarksburg and property owners,” city manager Martin Howe said. “Just really to encourage them to clean their properties and to rid any of the junk or debris they may have lying around or need assistance to discard of.”

You can visit the city’s website to find out which date the city’s spring clean-up will be coming to your neighborhood.
