Sometimes the support of a community can go a long way during a person’s health struggle.
Community members are organizing a spaghetti dinner for Mike Kesling, a former Clarksburg police officer, who has been diagnosed with mouth cancer.
The dinner will be held March 10 at the Harrison County Senior Center. Shirts will be sold at the event, as well as raffle prizes and more.
“He has done so much for the community and now he needs help. He is currently in Wheeling in a rehab center, but he needs to come back closer to Morgantown to get treatments right now. So we just need to come together as a community and help him get better,” said Stephanie Roda, organizer.
Almost 300 tickets have been pre-sold for the dinner and they will sell tickets the day of the event until they run out of food.
