A band of brothers who have given back to the Mountain State many times have released their new album and were on hand to perform at the Clarksburg Walmart Thursday night.
Davisson Brothers Band released its new album on May 4, and have recently been on tour in Australia with Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker, to name a few. The brothers say their glad to be back home in West Virginia.
“We just released our new album Fighter, and what better place to come back home in your Walmart here where they have the album. And we’re gonna play a few songs and get everybody dancing and have a good time singing along, and we’re gonna do a little meet and greet and sign CD’s and take pictures and that’s just what we do,” said Donnie Davisson, lead singer of the band.
The band debuted at number three on iTunes in the top forty country category in the United States and number two in Australia. The band said every song on the new record is a big part of their life.
“We’re just like you guys. You know what it is like in the great state of West Virginia. Just how we were raised and every song on the record, every lyric that I sing on that record, and every note that we play we have lived that,” said Davisson.
Davisson Brothers said they wanted their new album to reflect part of their life spending a lot of time making things just right. Their music is made for the everyday working blue collar family expressing the good times and the hard times through music.
