Don Williams, the District Engineer of District 4 for the Department of Transportation, has announced his retirement.
This was announced last Wednesday at a Road Caucus Meeting in Monongalia County.
Many community members say that they are thankful for the hard work he has put in for the sake of the road system and that he will be missed.
“I can’t say enough about what he has done. He would meet with us. He would make recommendations and ideas. He fought for us to come up with a pilot project of us funding money for specific projects and they matched it. And then the open communications. We now have a committee that will be a task force that will be getting out that information,” said Tom Bloom, Monongalia County Commissioner.
There is no word of when Williams will enter into retirement and end his term as District Engineer.
