Donations of peanut butter collected at the Bridgeport Farmer’s Market

The Bridgeport Farmer’s Market Winter Market was at the Bridgeport Conference Center once again Sunday morning.

The market was collecting donations of peanut butter since the treat has a long shelf life and is high in nutritional value. Donations will be given to local food pantries such as Shepherd’s Corner and the Bridgeport Food Pantry.

There will be two more indoor markets left for the season, staff said, to look out for the seasonal produce, Sunday brunches and more local music.

“Cause you know where your food is coming from. You get to actually talk to who produces and grow it and your always keeping your dollars local,” said Debbie Workman, on the board of directors.

The next winter market will be March 10 at the Bridgeport Conference Center
