In the Fall of last year, Elmcroft of Maplewood was taken over by management of Eclipse Senior Living.
The grand re-opening Friday provided a hot meal for the residents in the senior living community and their family members who were visiting. Elmcroft offers independent living and assisted living care to its residents providing home cooked meals and plenty of social activities to keep the senior active.
“Eclipse is a much smaller management group than who this community was with; so, there is a little different approach to what we’re doing, but again overall I think everyone is just striving to offer the best quality of life for seniors that choose this option,” said Peggy Smith, Executive Director of Elmcroft of Maplewood.
Currently Elmcroft of Maplewood houses roughly 120 residents in its senior care living facility. They say they are always welcoming guest to see what they have to offer to the community.
“Every month a different country is highlighted, and we kind of build a theme around that, this month is Holland. So, we have a lot of activities up in our assisted living community for that,” said Smith.
Smith also said that local church groups, fitness instructors, and crafts programs are offered within the community offering a diverse amount of activities for the seniors to partake in.
