Former Anchor-Hocking property undergoing cleanup phase for future development

A tract of land formerly occupied by the old Anchor-Hocking glass factory in Clarksburg is being prepped for future use.

According to Clarksburg city manager Martin Howe, the property is undergoing a general clean-up phase. Heavy equipment is currently on-site, moving some of the dirt and getting the property ready to attract a future suitor.

Howe said there’s no immediate plans for the property, but he hopes the cleanup project will make the land more marketable for a prospective developer.
