French news crew visits West Virginia to explore impact of government shutdown

Harrison

Journalists with a French public television station are in West Virginia this week to cover the effect that the partial federal government shutdown is having on the Mountain State, as well as to gauge public support for President Trump, two years after his inauguration.

Walid Berrissoul works for the French station C dans l’air and was in Clarksburg Tuesday morning to speak with locals about the current political climate.

Berrissoul says it’s the crew’s first trip to West Virginia and was pleased with how welcoming its citizens have been.

After leaving Clarksburg, the crew traveled to Buckhannon for another shoot.
