A Harrison County church has taken its Christmas Eve service to the big stage.
Centerbranch Church held its inaugural Christmas services at the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center in Clarksburg Monday afternoon.
The services included several live performances, including a ballerina in act one.
Centerbranch volunteers said they wanted to reach out to the community beyond their own church walls.
“We love our community, and we just believe that we don’t want to be one of those churches that people feel like it’s a little bubble and they don’t fit in. So, we just wanted to reach out to the community, do something special and something free for people that come and enjoy it. Christmas can be a dark time for some families, so just being that beam of light, that’s what we want to do for Clarksburg.” said Pahton Hulmes, Next Steps Director at Centerbranch.
Centerbranch said more than 800 people reserved seating for each of Monday’s services.
