Commissioners agreed Wednesday that services provided through the Harrison County WVU Extension office were valuable to Harrison County residents.
The county already pours more funding into this program than neighboring counties, but Extension agents said the services make a difference.
“Relationship education is very important so we try to do a holistic well rounded approach when we meet people’s needs in our county,” said Becky Smith, extension agent.
The commission said it budgets around $100,000 for extension services each year.
