Harrison County Elks set to host Pancake Breakfast with Veterans

The Harrison County Elks said to come and enjoy breakfast with them this Saturday, January 6.

The Elks encourage the community to join them for a pancake breakfast on Saturday at Texas Roadhouse in Clarksburg. The breakfast honors veterans and those in the VA Hospital and West Virginia Veterans Nursing Home.

The breakfast is free to everyone, thanks to Texas Roadhouse.

A donation will be collected for the Elks Veterans Programs.

“You know that if you are in the hospital or nursing home, I can come in and have breakfast with you, but you are still in the hospital or nursing home so what we are trying to do is get them out into the public and get the public to come out and honor the veterans,” said Flavious Haynes with the Harrison County Elks.

Special guests at the breakfast include Clarksburg native and WVU Women’s Basketball Coach Mike Carey and Matt Drayer, the general manager of the West Virginia Black Bears.
