Those looking to learn more about their ancestors received some helpful tips Saturday.

The Harrison County West Virginia Historical Society held a family genealogy workshop at the Waldomore House.

Giving tips about what to do when trying to find your family history is especially helpful when you think you’ve hit a wall in your search.

Officials cautioned to remember that county and state lines change over time, which can slightly change where you’re looking.
