Harrison County teachers attended the 4th annual National Board Certified Teachers recognition dinner on Tuesday.
The event, held at the Bridgeport Conference Center, recognized teachers who recently became certified and those who had recently renewed their certifications.
Teachers in attendence say this certification helps them better perform at their jobs.
“It’s the best thing I’ve ever done as a teacher. It teaches you really deep reflection about your kids, your curriculum, your pedagogy, working with colleagues, working with families and working with community members,” certified teacher Jenny Santilli.
This event also included speeches from several local school superintendents.
