Home Federal Credit Union in Clarksburg held a “family eunion” style event to give back to members and get to know the community.

The credit union changed its name earlier this year to better reflect its ties to Harrison County.

In addition to free lunch and a selfie photobooth, Home Federal Credit Union gave away $500 to one of its members today.

“Just to give back to the community, let them know we’re here, let them know that Home Federal Credit Union, we’re still the same as we were at CWV Tel,” C.E.O. and manager Natisha Swiger said. “Everyone has been very receptive. We’re excited, we love our new name. We pride ourselves on being family, so it’s the perfect name for us. We invite everyone to come home.”

Home Federal Credit Union began in 1950 as CWV Tel Federal Credit Union.

The credit union accepts members who live, work, worship or attend school in Harrison County.
