Over 300 women were enjoying a Girls night Out at the Village Square in Clarksburg on Saturday night. 

The event, hosted by Hope Inc., is an empowering event for women while also acting as a fundraiser for the organization.  

Various local vendors set up for the event and there was also give-a-ways, entertainment, and dancing going on till midnight.  

The money raised from the event will go towards shelters, legal advocacy, and counseling for women of domestic violence.

“Girls night out is a wonderful event, a real empowering kind of event for women. It is a fundraiser for Hope Inc., we serve victims of domestic violence and sexual assault,” said Jackie Ritter, Hope Inc. Outreach coordinator.

“April is sexual assault awareness month and I focus on sexual assault with my sexual assault support team. We have decided for April to do some presentations in the high schools.” said Kaitlyn Whilliston, Hope Inc. START coordinator.

Hope Inc. will be making visits to Harrison and Marion county schools throughout the month of April.
