A domestic violence support organization in Harrison County is adding a new program to help victims.
“Hope, Inc.” will begin holding a support group for anyone affected by domestic violence or sexual assault. The group will meet at Koupal Towers every Thursday at noon.
The theme of each meeting will be about “rowing free,” and counselor Amy Snider said the focus of the meetings will be of positive and personal growth.
“We just want to offer that,” Snider said. “Sometimes it’s really helpful to be able to talk to someone else who’s been through the same thing, going through the same thing, sometimes that can be one of the most strengthening things for them to help them get through it and get out of it.”
Hope,Inc. helps domestic and sexual assault victims find shelter and get a new start in life. The organization offers free services to five counties in the area.
