More than 35 acres of land will be auctioned off on April 17, as Jadewood Farms in Shinnston will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
“Tomorrow is going to be a bittersweet day for us. I moved here in my middle 20’s and now it’s time to downsize and move to somewhere else. Jadewood has been a wonderful place for us to live and raise our family and we hope that whoever gets this will also able to do the same thing for them,” said current homeowner Jim Jarret.
The 35-acre property consists of four real estates, including a four-bedroom colonial-style brick home, 2,400 sq. ft brick house, 2,900 sq. ft cottage and personal historical artifacts.
“Being able to offer the property with the different of combinations as well will give the opportunity for folks that may not have the interest of a full farm. They may have an interest for a piece here or there, but we will give them the opportunity to bid on that property there tomorrow,” said Jordan Kiger, real estate agent for Joe R. Pyle Auctions.
Registration will start at 8 a.m. with the personal property auction starting at 9:30 a.m. and the real estate portion being auctioned at noon.
The property will be sold both as individual pieces and collectively to the highest bidder. For more information on what is to offer with Jadewood Farms click on here.
