A local store is spreading Christmas cheer for Harrison County nursing home residents who may not have the chance to go home for the holidays.
The staff of JC Penney in Bridgeport paid a visit to residents of the Meadowview Manor nursing home, as they sang Christmas carols and provided gifts for the holiday season.
This event is the second straight year that Meadowview partnered with JC Penney to provide an unforgettable memory to all of their residents.
“Me and my activity staff all went from room to room and asked our residents what they would like for Christmas, and JC Penney came through, so well for us lat year, and they invited us to do it again this year and we were overwhelmed of their kindness,” said Tammy Blake, activities director for Meadowview Manor Nursing Home.
Thanks to JC Penny, Meadowview Manor provided presents to all 60 of their residents this Christmas.
