Laurel Lanes hosts 17 annual back to school bash

Harrison

With school quickly approaching organizations around the community are preparing in different ways. Laurel Lanes Community in Clarksburg held its 17 annual back to school bash party.

This was a free event for the children of Laurel Lanes and this celebration was all about getting the kids prepared for going back to school.

Executive director of Harrison County housing, Lou Aragona, said this event included free backpacks filled with school supplies for the kids to be prepared for their first days back.

“It’s a three hour event and there’s games and then there’s food and face painting and they’ll probably get me later but it’s just a lot of fun and it’s a good it’s really a good segway into our after school tutoring program that’ll begin when school starts because we provide that for the children here as well,” said Aragona.

Harrison County students will be going back to school starting this coming Monday.
