Local heroes participate in 2019 CASA Superhero 5K

Superheros from everyone’s favorite movie and shows took over Harrison County early Saturday morning, as runners hit the streets for the 2019 CASA Superheroes 5k.

The fundraising raced focused on  ways of how the community can make a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children in Harrison & Marion Counties
“I think it’s been excellent man. The weather has been great this morning. We’ve got a great turn out, bunch of runners, everybody’s walking, families are together. It’s been really really good,” said Steve Dunham, volunteer of the race.

CASA programs strive to ensure that children in the foster care system have a voice and are not left to repeat the cycle.
