My Little Cupcake Hosts annual ‘Pepperoni Roll Eating Contest’ to benefit United Way

Harrison

My Little Cupcake hosted the annual United Way pepperoni roll eating contest Tuesday at its newly opened location in Bridgeport.

The contests consisted of two rounds, with five contestants in each round. Contestants tried to eat the most ounces of the pepperoni rolls. Last year the contest raised more than $400 to help support multiple agencies of Harrison County United Way. This year the contest surpassed expectations and raised more than $3,000.

“It’s just wonderful to see so many people come together and rally behind a great cause, and like I said we fund 26 nonprofits in the County, many who are providing some crucial services to our citizens. So I want to thank people for coming out, and I want to thank everyone for their support,” said Brad Riffee, Community Impact Director of Harrison County’s United Way.

A award and trophy for both the men and women’s divisions was given to the top contestants, also presented was an award for the contestant who raised the most money. The fundraising goal for United Way is $935,000 thousand dollars.
