Nutter Fort school closed after three staff members test positive for COVID-19

NUTTER FORT, W.Va.- A Harrison County elementary school will be closed down for two weeks after recent positive COVID-19 cases have been discovered.

According to the Harrison County Health Department and Board of Education, Nutter Fort Primary School now has three positive cases among staff members. The school will be closed down until Monday, October 5, for deep cleaning and contact tracing.

This only affects the primary side of the building as all protocol is being followed.

“They really have not been sharing. They’ve been staying in cohort groups. They have not been sharing the playground with that side, the cafeteria is a shared space and it’s not being shared between the two groups, so it’s really two individual schools right now,” said Harrison County Superintendent Dora Stutler.
