March is Red Cross Month and the American Red Cross is asking people across West Virginia to become a hero by giving blood, becoming a volunteer or making a donation. Wednesday, March 28 is Red Cross Giving Day.
Jason Keeling, from American Red Cross said, “These volunteers respond to local disasters. Often times fires and floods. We also dispatch volunteers across the United States. Last year we had volunteers in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico.”
Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraising campaign supporting the work of the Red Cross, helping people across the country in need of emergency assistance.
