BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Seniors at a Harrison County nursing facility took a trip into the past Thursday.
As a part of “National Skilled Nursing Home Week,” Bridgeport Healthcare has planned fun activities for residents.
Thursday, Seniors were treated to a ride in a horse-drawn, covered wagon.
Activities supervisor Susie Palmer says residents have been looking forward to this all week and several dozen residents took advantage of the rare opportunity.
“Makes them feel good,” activities supervisor Susie Palmer said. “Because they’re in here, so we plan activities where it makes them feel good and happy.”
On Friday, residents will enjoy a picnic to close out “Skilled Nursing Home Week.”
