NUTTER FORT, W.Va. – Smile Defenders of Clarksburg hosted a free kids dental day Friday at their Smile Defenders dental office in Nutter Fort.

Smile Defenders offered several same-day services including dental exams, x-rays and cleanings for kids ages two to 17. Their mission is to help kids who may need any type of dental work, free of charge.

“So, we do it every year, we’ve seen thousands of West Virginia children,” marketing manager Wendy Boyce said. “Part of our mission is to make a positive impact in our community and this is just one of the ways we do that.”

The event brought in about 50 kids and the Smile Defenders plan on hosting a second event on August 14.
