The Southern Area Library in Lost Creek held its annual Taste of Soup in the community building on Sunday.
Trustees and friends of the library hosted the event with an array of soups that could be sampled.
For an $8 donation, people could go from station to station sampling all the soup offerings. All the money raised goes to help offset the operational cost of the library.
“Well we get a little bit of money from the Board of Education, from the Library Commission, and from County Commission,” said Lisa Booth, Trustee of the Southern Area Library. “After that its basically raising our own money to buy books.”
Jars were placed by each soup station for people to voter for their favorite, and the winner received a prize.
