Stonewall Jackson Coin Club raises money for local senior center

The Harrison County Senior Citizen Center was filled with vendors and coin collectors from all over, as the Stonewall Jackson Coin Club hosted their annual spring show.

The coin show gave residents and visitors the opportunity to purchase rare items, while  also raising money for a great cause.

The coin club has been running their spring show annually for over 58 years, starting in 1960 and continues to grow with vendors and interesting historical pieces.

“You rent a table back here and you want to put up postcards or just about anything. License plates.. Some guy has old license plates, world war ii ration stamps they are collectibles, anything that is a collectible,” said Mel Melhinger, the treasurer of Stonewall.

This year the Stonewall Jackson Club donated $1,000 to the Harrison County Senior Citizens Center.
