The Clarksburg Mission starts new community program

“Home for the Holidays” is an idea we all want this time of year. The Clarksburg Mission said that this year they have several individuals and families that are ready to transition from its living space to more permanent housing.

In an effort to welcome those individuals into their new apartments and houses, the Clarksburg Mission said donations like cookware and other home items will help people get started on the right foot.

“A program called Home for the Holidays where anyone who wants to help donate the first month’s rent, money towards the security deposit or getting the electric hooked up or whatever those things are that our families are that they need, they can do that,” said Chrissy Doak, women’s and children manager.

The mission is also excited about the completion of another project. The new addition for more VA housing is now complete and awaiting furniture.
